$R_{3} \mathrm{Si}(\mathrm{OH})$; On hydrolysis, $R_{3} \mathrm{SiCl}$ yields $R_{3} \mathrm{Si}(\mathrm{OH})$ which may be condensed to give $R_{3} \mathrm{SiO}-\mathrm{Si} R_{3}$.\ \False, $\mathrm{CCl}_{4}$ is quite stable because of its high thermal stability as compared to other tetrachlorides of the group.
