This is because these acids dissociate into their constituent ions which are responsible for the conduction of electricity. Glucose and alcohol do not dissociate into their respective ions, hence do not conduct electricity. \ Concept Applied - If electricity is passed through any solution which is connected to the bulb and its starts glowing then it indicates that there is a flow of electric current through the solution. \ The electric current is carried through the acidic solution by ions.
