(c): Given, $x+y=a+b$\ and $a x-b y=a^{2}-b^{2}$ Multiplying (i) by b and then adding with (ii), we get b x+b y+a x-b y=a b+b$^{2}$+a$^{2}$-b$^{2}$  \ $\Rightarrow(a+b) x=a(a+b) \Rightarrow x=a$\ Putting value of $x$ in (i), we get $y=b$\ So, the solution of given pair of equations is $x=a$ and $y=b$.\
