(a) : Let $\vec{P}=2 \hat{i}+3 \hat{j}$ and $\vec{Q}=2 \hat{j}+3 \hat{k}$ Their resultant is $ \vec{R}=\vec{P}+\vec{Q}=(2 \hat{i}+3 \hat{j})+(2 \hat{j}+3 \hat{k})=2 \hat{i}+5 \hat{j}+3 \hat{k} $ \  Thus, the components of the resultant along $x$ and $y$ directions are $	herefore R_x=2$ and $R_y=5$
