(a) : Let $u$ be the velocity of projection of the ball. The ball will cover maximum horizontal distance when angle of  projection with horizontal, $	heta=45^{\circ}$. Then $R_{\max }=\frac{u^2}{g}$ Here, $R_{	ext {max }}=100 \mathrm{~m} \quad 	herefore \quad \frac{u^2}{g}=100 \mathrm{~m}$
As $v^2-u^2=2 a s$
Here, $v=0$ (At highest point velocity is zero) \ As $v^2-u^2=2 a s$
